Locations Used and Why
The first location that we used in our opening title sequence was the nurse's office in Churchdown School. This was so we could film the patient lying on a bed being treated to and this was the most suitable location to film this part of the opening title sequence because it's the most realistic location (closest location to the setting of a hospital) that we could find.
The second location that we used in our opening title sequence was a corridor in Churchdown School. This location was used when the doctor and nurse were leaving the patient and the patient followed them. This was a suitable location to use because the corridor looked as though it was in a hospital
We used these previous two locations because we wanted the setting to be as if the location was actually a hospital. This is because hospitals are generally considered as being safe places where people do not tend to feel the threat of dangers unless they are in a life threatening condition. This is using the idea of Wes Craven who said that in horror films the scariest locations are places that people consider as being safe.
The next two locations that we used was the media suite and one of the science labs at Churchdown School as we were able to make the location look like a doctor's lab/office so that the audience could see that it wasn't the normal sort of hospital and that the average practices of a hospital were not being carried out. These room also had the ideal lighting to show that it was dark and late in the evening.
